The Occupy Movement is calling for a general strike for all students and workers after soldier Scott Olsen was injured. It is suspected a tear gas canister hit his head.
What started as a purely peaceful movement is ramping up as police take more heavy-handed measures to evict protesters around the world.
Yet the movements continue to use non-violent means to express solidarity with each other and to get their message across.
But apparently some aren’t getting the message. According to BizJournal.com:
“On Wednesday, Community of Bank of the Bay plans to remain open, despite Occupy Oakland calling for a General Strike that threatens to march on any bank or corporation that doesn’t close its doors for the day.”
