“Police and volunteers have found no sign of missing toddler Sam Trott as the sun rises over Perth following a frantic night of searching.
“The two-year-old went missing from his family home in Perth’s north yesterday.
“He walked out of the family home on Walbrook Mews in Landsdale about 10.30am yesterday when tradesmen installing mirrors left the front door open.
“Police have extended the search area for the toddler, combing surrounding streets, parks and bushland on foot and on horseback, assisted by police dogs, the air wing unit, local rangers, State Emergency Service volunteers and neighbours.
“Scores of nearby residents have grabbed torches to help look for the toddler through the night, prompting WA Police to issue a statement thanking the community for its help.”
