“Police have had to step in to break up a scuffle, as anti-racism activists protest in the central Victorian city of Bendigo, ahead of a United Patriots Front (UPF) rally over the council’s approval of the city’s first mosque.
“The anti-racism groups, operating under the banner of the Bendigo Action Coalition have gathered outside the Town Hall, while 400 police officers stand by.
“There are about 300 people listening to speeches and showing opposition to the United Patriots Front.”
