“US president Barack Obama has called for America to do some soul searching about violent protests following the death of a black man killed in police custody in the city of Baltimore.
“Baltimore was cleaning up after a night of riots that saw more than a dozen police injured, buildings burned and scores of cars torched.
“The violence erupted after the funeral of 25-year-old Freddie Gray who died a week ago from a spinal injury sustained after his arrest.
“”I think there are police departments that have to do some soul searching,” Mr Obama said.”
