“AS THE effects of Tropical Cyclone Marcia begin to be felt in northeast NSW with a number of flood warnings in place…
“The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a flood warning for the Tweed River at Murwillumbah, where the water level is expected to exceed minor flood levels around 4pm this afternoon and moderate flood levels around 8pm.
“It is also expected to flood at Chinderah around 1pm with this afternoon’s high tide.
“A Flood Watch is also in effect from the Queensland border to the Nambucca Valley for Friday and Saturday.”
