The move to repeal the ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy of the military has been blocked once again, the senate vote falling just short of its needed number to pass it.
This is yet another one of those moments that makes me want to bang my head against my desk in annoyance.
It is one thing to block it if the troops don’t want it. Then, I think, it would be acceptable to put it away until a peaceful time.
But the majority of troops are okay with it! Troops, as in the people who are out there right now, are okay with it?
