“THE Sound Of Music star Charmian Carr has died.
“According to her website, the 73-year-old actress, who was best known for playing Liesl Von Trapp alongside Julie Andrews in the iconic movie, died on Saturday from a rare form of dementia.
“Carr was just 21 years old when she filmed The Sound Of Music in 1965, propelling her into fame.
“After starring in the musical, she got married and had two daughters, leaving the film industry in order to focus on raising her family.
“As her girls grew up, Carr launched an interior design business, attracting celebrity clients including Michael Jackson.”
