“Veteran journalist Stan Grant has taken to task a trio of pranksters over their simulation of a drive-by-shooting on Melbourne streets, grilling them over whether they ever think about the reality of terrorism people live with.
“During a segment on The Project tonight, Grant, who once worked as a Middle East correspondent for CNN, questioned self-described entertainers ‘The Jalals’ over their decision to portray a terrorist act as a joke.
“Max, Rebeen and Arman made news this week by dressing up in Arab garb and pretending to carry out suicide bomb attacks in various locations around Melbourne.
“In their latest prank, the trio, dressed in their trademark robes, cruised the streets in a 4WD with a toy AK-47.
“Coupled with the sound of automatic fire being cranked through the vehicle’s stereo, they created a simulation of a drive-by shooting.”
