If you’re one of the millions of many Star Wars geeks, then you already know that the animated Clone Wars spin-off will be continuing later this year. George Lucas plans on a big theatrical release and a second “season” of the popular mini-series, only this time it will be in 3-D.
In the meantime, feel free to catch-up on past minisodes (aka ‘chapters’) of the first season online.
Lucas: “It’s Not Kiddy”
I’m usually not one for animated spin-offs. I always find that they are aimed at a younger audience and mediocre, at best, compared to the original. This time, however, I was pleasantly surprised. As Lucas states, “It’s not kiddy nor adult, it’s PG-13.” Take his word for it.
This 2003 series was animated by the same artist who did Dexter’s Laboratory and Samurai Jack on Cartoon Network. It even won an Emmy and was hailed by some critics as being just as good, if not “better” than the first two movies.
Clone Wars Chapter 1
This is the very beginning of the animated Clone Wars series. Rather than actual “episodes” you’ll notice that each segment is a short 3-5 minute chapter. Because there are only 25 chapters in all, you just might be able to see the whole series in one sitting.
