“Corona police on Saturday said the shooting inside a Costco Friday evening involved an off-duty LAPD officer who was, in fact, the shooter.
“The officer got into some kind of altercation with a man (described as having a Mohawk-style haircut) and felt threatened, authorities said.
“According to the Corona Police Department, officers were sent to the scene at 7:46 p.m. after receiving calls of an active shooter inside and arrived at the scene in just under a minute.
“Officers reported finding one dead and three wounded. The injured were transported to the hospital.
“As of Friday evening, police have not released the names of the dead and wounded.
“On Saturday, Corona police identified the dead man as 32-year-old Kenneth French of Riverside.”
