Watch The Philosophy of Horror Movie ‘Saw’ Wisecrack Edition Video

Who’d have thought Jigsaw was such an existentialist? No wonder I liked the movie so much.

Even though this video took on the movie series as a whole, I tend to remember the first movie and forget the rest.

AT the time I watched it, I remember thinking it was brilliant not for the gore and killing but for the mind games involved.

It took a level of thinking and set up that I hadn’t seen in much of anything – let alone a horror movie – at the time.

I’m glad they took it further than ‘early Christianity’ because existentialism takes it so much further in the right direction.
