Sigh. I totally missed out on seeing this last night. It’s just not the same on video. I hope some of the readers/watchers out there got to enjoy the lunar beauty.
“Skywatchers flocked to Melbourne’s Princes Bridge on Saturday night to see the last total lunar eclipse or blood moon to be seen in Australia for three years.
“The lunar show began about 9.15pm, with the total lunar eclipse starting at 11.58pm and lasting about 12 minutes.
“The Astronomical Society of Victoria’s Perry Vlahos said a lunar eclipse didn’t necessarily mean the moon would glow red as it passed under the Earth’s shadow.”
