“Tuesday is National Voter Registration Day, and voter-registration deadlines for the November 3 presidential election are already coming up in over a dozen states.
“Every US state except North Dakota requires citizens to register to vote with their state and county election officials in order to cast a ballot.
“In North Dakota, voters are required to present identification proving their residency in the state at the polls to cast a ballot.
“You must be at least 18 years old on Election Day and a US citizen to be eligible to vote anywhere in the US. On your voter-registration form, you’ll have to provide your date of birth, address, and either your driver’s licence or state ID card number, or the last four digits of your Social Security number.”
