I love the term ‘magical thinking’ and that is a valid thing in psychology/sociology.
Yeah, I have bought a lottery ticket every now and then, and I’ve won small amounts a few times. But that doesn’t mean I have magical thinking about my odds of actually winning it.
But, the thing is, you have to be in it to win it. Someone wins…
It would be nice to have an escape from student loans, so I will continue to occasionally skip that cup of coffee to buy a ticket.
