“Pop singer Simone Battle of American girl group G.R.L has died at her home in Los Angeles.
“The 25-year-old was found dead at her West Hollywood home on Friday morning, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
“The singer’s father, Anthony Battle, reportedly told US celebrity news website TMZ that he was unaware his daughter was battling depression but it was “possible she may have had an invisible disability”.
“Battle’s record company and management confirmed the singer’s death in a joint statement released on Saturday.
“”We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the loss of Simone Battle of G.R.L,” the statement from Reign Deer Entertainment, Kemosabe Records, RCA Records and Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin read.
