You could be forgiven for thinking this is another Snuggie parody ad, but indie rockers Weezer are completely serious. Sort of.
The band came to the harsh realization that people seem more willing to spend money on a blanket with sleeves than their music these days, so they developed this crazy marketing ploy.
If you buy a Weezer Snuggie, cutely known as a Wuggie, you’ll receive Weezer’s new album Ratitude for nix. To promote the deal they’ve created this fun ad, complete with drinks of hot cocoa and foot rubs.
Of course, like any good Weezer promotion, this is done with more than a touch of irony.
