We all know the main purpose of a commercial is to sell a product. But this one for Powerjet, a car-washing gadget from the 80s, completely misses the mark.
The ad starts with a frustrated car washer who seems a little, well, psycho. So he’s run out of quarters and the car’s still covered with soap. Sure it’s a pain in the rear, but most of us wouldn’t throw an epic temper tantrum.
We’re then led to believe the guy’s life would be stress free with the Powerjet, due to the soap compartment. Funny thing is, our angry friend had more than enough soap. I think more soap might just send him over the edge!
