We’ve all heard of Google Wave, but if you’re like me, you really don’t know the point of the new technlology. This video demonstrates just a small aspect of it.
Essentially, Google Wave is an update on the current system of e-mail. If email was invented today, it would look a lot like this.
I remember using e-mail back in the 90’s a lot more often than today. Web 2.0 sites like Facebook are more useful for communication simply because of the real-time aspect of it. It’s about time e-mail caught up.
E-mail, instant messaging, wiki, social networking, and collaboration have never been seen like this before. Hopefully Wave will catch on and replace our currently outdated e-mail system.
