Homeopathy is a form of alternative medicine which treats conditions with minute doses of substances diluted in water. It’s horseshit, obviously.
Homeopathy has been thoroughly debunked at this point. It’s a pseudoscience which essentially relies on people feeling better as a result of the placebo effect.
However, people still believe in homeopathy, which makes them ripe for mocking. Which is exactly what comedy duo Mitchell and Webb do in this sketch.
They imagine a scenario where instead of real hospitals, people visit homeopathy hospitals. They all die, obviously, but the consultants will not be persuaded to try any other form of treatment.
