Whitney Houston, the most-awarded female singer of the 20th century, has died at the age of 48. While the news reporter in this clip says that it comes as “a complete shock” I’d have to disagree.
It’s no secret that Whitney struggled with addiction problems for most of her career.
As for the cause of death, the official statement has not been released. While she wasn’t reported to have been seen taking any illegal drugs, bottles of Xanax and sleeping meds were found in her hotel room and she was seen drunk at a party last night.
First Michael Jackson, now this? I hate to state the obvious, but prescriptions are just as bad, if not sometimes worse, than most illegal drugs.
