Firstly it seems the produce isn’t so local. In fact, much of it comes all the way from China. Yes, even the California Blend veggies.
But the lack of local content wouldn’t be so bad if it was still organic, right? Well, the jury’s out there too. It seems that the governing bodies have never certified these products as organic, despite the packaging claiming otherwise.
Yet of course Whole Foods continues to charge organic prices for these imported and uncertified goods. Something’s just not right there!
