You no doubt saw some of the royal wedding held on Friday; after all, it was absolutely everywhere, making it nigh-on impossible to miss. However, this is a clip you may not have seen, because it’s after most of the good stuff had already happened.
When I say good stuff I mean the reading of vows, the carriage ride through London, and the kiss on the balcony. This clip shows William and Kate leaving Buckingham Palace in Prince Charles’ Aston Martin.
I felt this was a little cheesy if I’m honest, and it also didn’t suit the rest of the day. I know it was probably Wills’ idea to do something that is an element of normal, everyday weddings, but this wasn’t a normal, everyday wedding, and the Royal Family aren’t a normal, everyday family.
To be honest I also felt the kiss was a disappointment. There was no passion, no love on display. Instead, it was very staged and very awkward. No one else seems to agree with me but I don’t think it augurs well for a long and happy marriage. Sorry.
