Microsoft has unveiled Windows 8 in some detail at the BUILD developers conference currently taking place in California. And this video shows you everything you need to know about the new operating system.
The full keynote speech taking developers and journalists through Windows 8 lasted over three hours, but thankfully, for those of us who haven’t got the free time or desire to sit through the whole thing, Life Hacker trimmed the fat.
Windows 8 is very different from what has gone before. The underlying architecture remains the same, but the UI has more in common with Windows Phone 7 and has been created with tablets very much in mind.
It goes without saying that there is still a lot we don’t know about Windows 8, such as the release schedule and the price. But we know a lot more at this stage than we have done about past Microsoft operating systems.
