A new expansion pack for the hugely popular World of Warcraft computer game has been revealed today at BlizzCon 2009. It’s called WoW: Cataclysm and it’s sure to make existing World of Warcraft players wet with excitement.
For the people who don’t know, World of Warcraft is an MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) which has over 10 million subscribers around paying a monthly fee to inhabit the Azeroth game world.
This video shows the announcement and trailer for the game. WoW: Cataclysm shakes things up in a number of ways, with a world (and inevitably game) changing evil having risen up to make peace an impossibility. Which is a good thing for gamers.
The new WoW expansion pack features an increased level cap (to 85), seven new playing zones, and new character classes, monsters, and side quests. No release date has yet been set for Cataclysm.
