X Factor Auto-Tune Video | Controversy Over Effects Added To Gamu Nhengu Audition

The 2010 series of The X Factor kicked off on Saturday, and gained a huge audience. However, it’s now the subject of controversy concerning the use of auto-tune effects during some auditions.

The most strikingly obvious use of auto-tune is during Gamu Nhengu’s audition as embedded above. It’s unmistakable that her voice has been altered after the event to make it look better on TV.

Others affected during the first show include G&S, with the girl’s voice artificially improved, and Shirlena Johnson, which is bizarre as she was one of the terrible auditions they include so that we can all point and laugh at these poor deluded fools.

I’m already boycotting the show because of the sob stories and use of cheesy music. And I’m hoping more will join in the boycott after seeing this attempt to manipulate the public.
