2009 A True Story is a new drama web series that paints a fictional, but believable, picture of what would happen if another attack was made on the United States. The mini series predicts the worst:

A war on American soil.

Sara

Sara Ford, who is the main character in 2009 A True Story, periodically records video logs with her webcam to get her fears off her chest. Other scenes from the webisodes are made up of various news footage from the future. Some even have added impressive special effects.

Like Cloverfield, we aren’t ever really told what is happening. We are simply expected to pay close attention to the comments that we gather from the various clips and video logs and put them together. While this format is certainly confusing, it is also makes for a very addictive show.

Webisode 1: 85 Days Remain

This is the very first episode of 2009 A True Story. This is Sara’s first video blog in which she explains her fears on camera for an unknown character who we have yet to meet. Don’t expect to gain too much knowledge about the story from this episode, hell, I’ve seen the second one and I’m still confused.

But I keep watching anyways. Maybe it’s because I want to know what the hell is going on, or perhaps it’s just because Sara is in her underwear the whole time she’s talking.
