Though low voter turnout is expected at the special election polls in California, that isn’t getting anyone down. Certain groups are trying to use the low numbers to their advantage.
Despite the high stakes surrounding voting on these propositions, a turnout of only 30% is expected. Considering that the future of California’s budget is at stake, you would think more people would care.
Like many other states in the US, California is suffering from job losses, home foreclosures and a budget circling the drain. As a major economy in itself, the survival of California is just not the survival of ‘another state’.
