The Lorax is a short children’s book by Dr. Seuss, but it’s lack of length hasn’t prevented Hollywood from turning it into a 94-minute feature film. The question is whether it’s any good or not.
Dr. Seuss has already had many of his works turned into movies, with varying results. The Grinch Who Stole Christmas and Horton Hears A Who! are good efforts, The Cat In The Hat not so much.
Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax opens this weekend in North America, but the rest of the world will have to wait a few months. The girls in this video was lucky enough to attend an advance screening.
I’d suggest this movie is for youngsters and adults who fondly remember the book from their own childhoods. The story and characters will probably go over the head of the rest of us.
