Bubba Watson has won the 2012 Masters at the Augusta National. This video shows him giving an emotional speech after receiving his green jacket.
Watson is a 33-year-old player from Florida who taught himself to play golf. Tiger Woods used to practice with him because he recognized Watson’s natural talent for getting a ball to go where he wanted it to.
Bubba was the underdog throughout the competition, being an outside at the start, the outsider on the final day, and even the second favorite in the sudden death playoff against Louis Oosthuizen.
I’ll be honest and admit that because I’m not a fan of watching golf (I’m sure playing it is a lot more fun) I had never heard of this guy before. But now he’s the No.4 player in the world his time for recognition has arrived.
