Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is the movie of the book by Jonathan Safran Foer. It had its premiere in L.A. last night (Dec. 16) but isn’t on general release until Jan. 20.
The book (and the movie, obviously) tells the tale of a teenager who goes on a hunt around New York after finding a key that belonged to his father. His father who died in the World Trade center on 9/11.
The book is an emotional rollercoaster, and the film looks to have captured the essence of it well. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is one movie for those who like their dramas to feel real and who like a good weep, whether in a theater or in their front room.
