An elderly gunman opened fire on a crowd today and shot a guard at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C. The guard has been reported as having died in hospital.
The gunman in the shooting has been identified as 88 year old James W. von Brunn.
According to The Washington Post, “James W. von Brunn…decries Jews, blacks on rambling, racist and bitterly anti-Semitic website.”
I find it hard to understand how people even get away with running around with guns in Washington D.C., but that is another matter.
I just hope that this is an isolated incident and that we don’t take it as ‘yet another sign of the times’ – ‘the times’ being filled with blind hatred.
