The Flashback Trojan has reportedly infected at least 500,000 Macs, a reminder that the Apple system is not immune to infection as some fanboys believe.
Just do yourself a favor, Mac users, and download some anti-virus, anti-malware software on your computer. It’s not worth the risk not doing so, when you can get hold of it for free and it’s very simple to install.
Just make sure you get legitimate software from a legitimate source or you may end up inadvertently putting your own system at risk of infection.
This is a situation that is only likely to get worse from here on in. The more popular Macs become the more they will be targeted by hackers and criminals. The higher the market share, the more this kind of thing is going to happen.
