Coming of age dramas are very common. However, Never Have I Ever is a really solid entry in the genre, which adds comedy asides and cultural differences to the mix.

There are the usual tropes of the hot boy who seems unattainable, and the kooky group of friends who support each other, but there are also enough new elements to keep this feeling fresh.
