G.I. Joe: Retaliation Delayed Video | Movie Sequel Pushed Back For 3D Conversion

G.I. Joe: Retaliation was meant to be released June 29, 2012. It’s now going to be released March 29, 2013! WTF?

According to IGN, the defense for this is that James Cameron added 3D to Titanic is post-production and that turned out OK. Sure, it did, but unless Paramount is getting Cameron to convert this as well then it’s comparing apples to oranges.

I’ve seen really bad post-conversions and really good post-conversions. But even if G.I. Joe: Retaliation ends up with the best 3D ever seen that doesn’t justify delaying its release by nine months.

Paramount is risking annoying the fans with this dick move, especially announcing it just a month before release. Personally I couldn’t give two hoots as the first film absolutely stank.
