Gmail Behind The Scenes Video | Google Users Submitted Gmail Video Final Cut

35 sec read

Google recently asked Gmail users around the world to make and submit video clips for a collaborative Gmail video.

The idea was to imagine how an email message travels around the world. Using just the Gmail M-velope (you know, that big red M envelope shaped thing), and some creativity people sent in their submissions.

1100 were submitted for the project and the best were then chosen and cut together in this 2 minute video extravaganza of user led advertising.

Some of these are obviously better than others, with some making me wonder why they were actually chosen for the final cut in the first place!

I like the way the video proves the universality of the Internet, with clips coming from every country under the sun.

If you want to see all of the videos, including the many that didn’t make it in to the official final cut, just visit the following YouTube page and have fun. See you in a few weeks!
