Angelina Jolie is set to play the character of Maleficent in a movie of the same name being released in 2014. The new poster, showing Jolie wearing the costume, was just released, and it’s pretty damn magnificent.
I must admit I wasn’t aware the villain in Sleeping Beauty was called Maleficent. I didn’t even know she had a name. And yet it seems to be common knowledge.
Maleficent is a live-action retelling of the Sleeping Beauty story as told from the point of view of the titular character. Who is played by Angelina Jolie.
She certainly looks good in the movie poster, but I’ll reserve judgement on the film itself at least until the trailer drops.
