Champions League games can be cagey affairs, especially when clubs reach the quarter-final stages and start picturing themselves lifting the trophy.
However, Manchester City vs. Tottenham Hotspur was anything buy cagey. Spurs won the first leg 1-0, which meant there was everything to play for in the return leg.
This game had everything. There were seven goals, four of which came in the first 21 minutes. City had a goal disallowed, and Tottenham won it with a possible handball.
In the end Tottenham went through on away goals, and will face Ajax in the semi-final. But the real winner here is VAR, which proved its worth yet again.
