So many bands try their hand at making it big, and they all have to start somewhere. Which is why there are so many “before they were famous” clips doing the rounds.
This video shows Mumford and Sons, who have since gone onto become one of the biggest bands in the world, performing outside a pizzeria in 2009.
OK, so they were there as part of SXSW, but that’s still Mumford and Sons performing The Cave to a handful of people outside a restaurant. Which is mental.
What’s funny is that while the crowd seem to enjoy the song, they don’t react like they’re seeing future superstars. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
