This video shows what it reported to be the new iPhone 4G, Apple’s next big product launch. The leaking ahead of time comes courtesy of Gizmodo, which bought the prototype device after it was found in a bar in California.

This video, and the accompanying Gizmodo post, has caused massive controversy around the Web. People first assumed it was fake, but it’s now clear that is not the case, and this is actually the iPhone 4G.

Gizmodo got hold of the prototype after paying at least $5,000 for it. They bought it from a guy who found it in a Redwood City bar, after an Apple employee is said to have accidentally left it on his stool.

The Apple employee is likely to be in big trouble, especially after his details were posted on some less scrupulous websites. As for the rest of us, we get a sneak peek at the next iPhone, even though it’s very similar to last one.
