I’ll admit it: I met my husband online. I was pretty embarrassed about this for a while, particularly when we were living on opposite sides of the globe, but now we’ve been happily married for a couple of years I can reveal my little secret.

So this song by comedian Nick Thune really struck a chord with me. In it he describes the joy of falling in love for the first time, via instant messaging of course, and the pain when it just doesn’t work out.

We’ve all done it, but listening to Nick’s lyrics gives you a little perspective on all those emoticons and acronyms.
