This video gives us our first look and Rampart and, if you believe the hype, “the most corrupt cop you’ve ever seen on screen.”
Woody Harrelson plays the aforementioned cop, a bad ass that seems to live up to his press tag. There’s already Oscar buzz around his performance in this flick; after two previous nominations it seems about time that Woody took home a statue.
He’s ably supported in the flick by a host of serious acting talent including Sigourney Weaver, Robin Wright, Cynthia Nixon, Steve Buscemi … and then there’s Ice Cube.
With a script co-penned by the Oren Moverman and James Ellroy, Rampart could be one to watch. It hits American cinema screens on January 27.
