RealMeals TV is a web TV channel offering professional and user submitted videos.
These range from simple meals to complicated meals, all made on screen for you to follow.
The RealMeals.tv website is set up with various channels, ranging from ProMeals, HealthyMeals, Spirits, and Cooking Tips.
Once you click on the channel that interests you, you can then choose which video to watch in full.
Each video is usually 1 to 5 minutes long, and includes lists of ingredients and instructions along the way, all while someone is demonstrating the recipe for you. Here is an example from the site:
Baked Zitu Video
I found the general style and quality of the cooking videos on offer to be very good, with detailed instructions and good presentation from each of the chefs, both amateur and pro.
One thing I don’t like is the choice of cheesy music which plays at the start of each video. It tempted me to stop the videos before the recipe had even been demonstrated.
Overall RealMeals.tv offers a real user driven and presented alternative to the traditional professional TV chefs such as Jamie Oliver.
It’s more appealing to watch a fellow amateur cook making something, and it makes you feel as if you too could achieve the recipe to a high standard.
