Get Hard is the new comedy movie starring Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart. The appearance of these two should ensure it’s a funny film, but the reviews suggest it’s anything but funny.
The premise of Get Hard is simple. Ferrell is a rich guy facing spending time in jail, while Hart is too poor to buy a house. Thus, Hart teaches Ferrell how to survive in prison in exchange for some cold, hard cash.
The problem is that the jokes are tired, unoriginal, and likely to offend almost everyone watching. Which makes it more like a film intended for an audience from the 1970s.
Get Hard clearly sucks, and probably isn’t worth paying good money to see at a theater. I’ll personally be waiting until it lands on Netflix.
