Joy is a new movie from David O Russell, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Diane Ladd, Rober De Niro, and a host of other great actors.
It tells the tale of Joy Mangano, the inventor of the Miracle Mop and other household labor-saving products. Unfortunately, Joy is all rather joyless in reality.
All of the elements are there for Joy to be a great movie. However, the What the Flick?! guys think it’s a mess, and not anywhere near as good as Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle.
Personally, I think Lawrence is extremely overrated. Sure, she can act, but the praise heaped on her far exceeds her actual talent.
