I’ve been fascinated by Tesla coils ever since I saw two of them being used to play the Super Mario Brothers theme tune on last November.
I’ve seen a few more videos since then of people using the transformers to play songs on, but this is slightly different, with a guy IN HIS HOUSE, using one as a guitar amp.
It sounds absolutely awesome, both being melodic, and ingenious. I just hate to think what this guy’s electricity bill is though, as these pump out 250,000 volts.
Now we just need a well known guitar band to start using one on tour. My money would be on British rockers Muse, as that combination would be aural sex in my eardrums.
