The 2018 World Cup from Russia is kicking off today, with an opening ceremony, followed by the first game between Russia and Saudi Arabia.
While most people in Europe and South America will be well aware of how World Cups work, North Americans may be a little confused by it all. Especially as the U.S. failed to qualify.
