Sure, the 2009 Oscars had it’s memorable movements. But no acceptance speech could ever top this one from Cuba Gooding Jr.
Taken from the 69th Academy Awards, this clip shows just how inspirational words can be. Especially when they’re coming from a man who’s extremely “Happy! Hehe!”
This speech is so inspiring, it’s almost as if it were scripted. Cuba knows that he’s going to be “cut-away” by those running the Academy, so he hurries on to thank everyone he can think of. And when the music kicks in for him to get off the stage it sounds like it’s accompanying his speech.
Of course, after Cuba won this award for Best Supporting Actor in Jerry McGuire, he went on to star in the not so Oscar worthy “Snow Day.” Still, thanks to online video we’re able to look back at when the man was at his peak and getting standing ovations for screaming “I love you all!”
