It’s fair to say women’s football comes in for a lot of stick. Mostly by men who feel threatened by females encroaching on their tribalism.
But women’s football is a growing sport, especially in the United States. Which means that men need to get used to the idea of females playing soccer.
This video might help ease the minds of any sexist men out there who think women will never — can never — be as good at sports as men.
This goal is glorious, and it would be glorious no matter what gender of person scored it. But, as it’s a woman playing in an amateur match, we think it deserves promoting.
