Charlie Daniels has died at the age of 83. The country music star, singer, songwriter, and renowned fiddler, passed away after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke.
Daniels did a number of memorable things in his life, including being a session musician on multiple Bob Dylan albums.
However, he is best known for recording “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” a chart-topping hit that crossed over into the mainstream and inspired other musicians.
As a kind of tribute to Charlie Daniels, this video shows The Charlie Daniels Band performing “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” on stage. And it’s a rousing performance.
