The Late Show With David Letterman is no more, with Dave signing off for the last time on Wednesday (May 20th).
This video shows him closing the show, with 10 minutes of reminiscences, thanks to everybody involved with the show, and a final farewell to the viewers at home.
Letterman is a legend at this point. Not only for the length of time he’s been on TV, but for the anarchic spirit he introduced to the talk show format.
It’s only because of Letterman that we have Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel, and the other late-night talk show hosts entertaining us.
Thanks, Dave. You’ll be sorely missed. We wish you a happy retirement.
